Spring 2025

MONDAY

Lego® WeDo Robotics: Space & Aviation (K-2nd): Children will have the opportunity to explore the sky and beyond as they build and program their own aviation and space-themed robots using LEGO® WeDo kits. With projects that include helicopters and lunar rovers to flying animals and more, children will be able to bring the future right into their hands through programmable LEGO® sets. With a range of project ideas and lesson plans to choose from, children will have the chance to soar through the world of space and aviation!

 

Cooking: Around the World (K-5th): During this program, children will spend each day learning & creating cuisines from different countries & cultures. Throughout the course, children will collaborate while learning about the importance of safety & teamwork in the kitchen. They will master the different skills of cutting, like dicing, coring & slicing, and will also learn more about the customary units of volume, like teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, pints & gallons, all while baking delicious goodies!

 

Run Club (K-5th): Is your child ready to burn off some steam & have some fun? Join this co-ed running club where your child will have the chance to meet new friends, have a team building experience, move their bodies with fun running activities such as relays, speed, agility & quickness, & pacing all packed into an hour of movement, character building, and team fun. We will be building our cardiovascular system and muscles.

 

Chess (K-5th): Learn chess with Silver Knights Chess Academy (formerly Magnus Chess Academy), world champion Magnus Carlsen’s academy!  We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state and national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games.  Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies.

Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments (in-person and online) outside of club time.  This in-person club includes free online extras including weekly practice tournaments and an event with world champion Magnus Carlsen or Judit Polgar, the best female chess player of all time.  All chess supplies provided. TUESDAY

STEAMCRAFT: Minecraft Science (K-5th): In a world focused on creativity and imagination, Minecraft is an adventurous title that kids can’t get enough of. Have you ever thought about how we can apply some of those concepts to real life? This class will bring to life many of the in game experiences using SCIENCE! From Creeper slime to item enchantments, we will be putting on our lab coats and dissecting the wonderful world of Minecraft.

 

Pottery: Contemporary Art (K-5th): Join us this Spring as we explore the exciting world of Contemporary Art! Learn about how these famous artists changed the world of art by coloring outside the lines. In this class you’ll create pinch pots, coil pots and slab hand built pottery from start to finish. You’ll even get a chance to glaze your own pottery. Our materials are professional grade stoneware and get fired in our kiln making the pieces both beautiful and functional! Ready to explore? Come on and let’s get muddy! 

 

Theatre: Sensational Storytellers (K-2nd): Everything is a story, you just have to tell it! Gain the tools to be a master teller of tales and have everyone hanging on your every word. By using the actor tools of body, voice, and imagination these troubadours will take us on a journey to entertain and inspire their audience through the beginning, middle, and end. Students will work together to create original stories to perform.

 

FunFit (2nd-5th): Have FUN while getting FIT! Whether the goal is to enhance athletic performance or increase overall physical activity, Funfit is the way to go! Funfitters will enjoy fast-paced workouts, body challenges, and games with friends while targeting each athletic performance skill; coordination, flexibility, balance, strength, speed, and endurance. Exercises are modified to suit a variety of fitness levels. Funfitters will complete the program finding exercise enjoyable while feeling healthier and confident.



WEDNESDAY

Minecraft: Survival Skills (K-5th): For young gamers looking to take their Minecraft skills to the next level, this program challenges children to sharpen their survival skills in the adventurous world of Minecraft. They’ll explore more advanced gameplay, such as tracking coordinates, food sustainability, resource organization, building shelters, and crafting essential tools. As they navigate various biomes and face environmental challenges, they'll develop resilience and persevere through setbacks. Expect your child to set goals for growth with guided tasks to help them progress in the game. No device needed! We provide everything your child needs to dive into the immersive world of Minecraft.

 

Soccer (K-5th): This program will consist of fun games using soccer skills which will lead up to playing small-sided soccer. As the days progress, games will involve more and more soccer skills, involving different moves, dribbling, ball control, passing, and shooting. Games will require individual 1 on 1 skills with some requiring team participation.

 

Get Loopy: Crocheting (3rd-5th): Crocheting is not only a relaxing hobby, but it also helps children deal with stress and coping in stressful situations. It is great for children that deal with anxiety and helps tune the fine motor skills of the children. It is also a fun hobby to learn. In this class, the children will start with a scarf in the Fall and Winter, and a small blanket in the Spring and Summer. Children will learn the different techniques of crocheting. There is an age restriction on this class, however, this class can be tailored to fit all age groups. For the smaller age groups, the techniques used will be more of weaving than crocheting.

 

Art Inspired by Masters! ((Spring Edition) K-2nd): Join Ms. Tio for a fun mix of art projects inspired by Masters!  We will paint and sculpt our way through art history.


THURSDAY

Science: Potions & Explosions (K-2nd): Let’s have fun with Chemistry! In this program, we will create “magic” potions and exciting chemical reactions that will blow your mind. Erupt a volcano, make indoor snow, grow crystals, blast a rocket into the air, and more. We will learn about the states of matter and how things change with mixtures, solutions and chemical reactions. Join us to channel your inner Professor Snape!

 

Cooking: Breakfast Club (K-5th): In this session, the kids will get to learn all sorts of breakfast treats, ranging from super simple, to a delicious meal to get excited over! They will be breakfast champions by the end, being able to crack eggs without a second thought and how to be a baking pro.

 

TGA Pickleball (K-5th): GET READY TO DINK, DRIVE, AND VOLLEY WHILE HAVING FUN WITH TGA!

Led by trained and vetted coaches, TGA Pickleball uniquely combines athletics, academics, and life lessons to create a fun, active, and entertaining camp experience.

TGA programs include skill development, lessons on rules & etiquette, and activities that explore academic concepts through the lens of the sport.

All levels/abilities are welcome and equipment is provided.
